Inspired by Ai Hashimoto’s story "Metamorphosis", this work embodies liminality: the threshold between presence and absence, reality and dream. The cat’s fragmented form suggests transformation and quiet rebirth, while its sinking gesture evokes thought drifting into the unseen abyss beneath the earth.
