What is Pulchri Studio?
Pulchri Studio is an artist’s society, established in 1847. Since 1901 the society is located in a beautiful building at the centre of The Hague, Lange Voorhout 15.
In this building the artists show their works of art. There is a free entrance. The works of art are for sale.
Opening hours of the galleries: Tuesdays – Sundays 11.00 – 17.00 hrs.

Membership of the society
Artists
Artists in fine arts like painters, sculptors, photographers and so on can obtain artist-membership after having been selected by a committee, consisting of fellow-artists, selected by the general assembly of the society.
Foreign artists can also apply for the membership. Membership will allow you to exhibit your works of art in the galleries at Lange Voorhout 15, The Hague.

Membership fee for artist’s members is € 117 + € 35 entrance fee.
Art lovers
For those who love the fine arts, there is also a membership: the art lovers. You can join the society as an art lover by being introduced by one of the members. Membership fee for artlovers is € 215 + € 35 entrance fee.

What will art lovers-membership mean to you?
You’ll receive our 2-monthly arts magazine ‘Pulchri’ (in Dutch, and beautifully illustrated) and you are invited to the openings of the exhibitions (65 per year). These openings are perfect events to meet the artists and fellow-art lovers, there will be drinks and snacks and pleasant company.
As a member you are allowed access to the ‘Sociëteit’ which is also located at Lange Voorhout 15, The Hague. Limited introduction is allowed. This is the place to meet fellow-members in a relaxed setting for drinks and a meal, catered by www.boenkcatering.nl.
There is a Pulchri Studio social committee that organises events for the members, like concerts, jazz, trips to musea etc.
